Senior Data Analyst – Product Team

Position Summary

The Senior Data Analyst is a Power BI–focused analytics professional responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced healthcare revenue cycle dashboards and visual analytics. This role translates complex clinical, financial, and operational data into clear, executive-ready insights that support reimbursement optimization, denial reduction, and performance improvement across the healthcare revenue cycle.

Key Responsibilities

Power BI & Data Visualization (Primary Focus)

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for revenue cycle, CDI, coding, and financial performance
  • Create interactive, role-based dashboards for executives, operational leaders, CDI specialists, and coding teams
  • Ensure dashboards meet performance, usability, and governance standards
  • Partner with stakeholders to translate business questions into effective visual analytics

Revenue Cycle Analytics

  • Analyze trends in denials, AR aging, cash collections, net revenue yield, and payer performance
  • Support analytics for working DRG, medical necessity, charge capture, and utilization review
  • Track and report performance against SLAs, KPIs, and client contractual requirements
  • Identify revenue leakage, process variation, and improvement opportunities

Clinical Documentation & Coding Analytics

  • Build dashboards supporting traditional and custom analytics for clients.
  • CDI query volume, response rates, and impact
  • DRG and CC/MCC movement
  • Coding productivity, quality, and automation performance
  • Support audits, appeals, and compliance activities with defensible analytics

Data Modeling & Integration

  • Work with source systems including EHR, coding and CDI, and financial platforms
  • Perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Collaborate with technical teams to support data pipelines feeding Power BI models

Consulting & Stakeholder Support

  • Present insights and dashboards to internal leadership and clients
  • Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Support client assessments, implementations, and performance improvement initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Health Informatics, Business, Finance, or a related field
  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience building data visualizations and dashboards, with a strong emphasis on Power BI
  • Demonstrated experience designing enterprise or client-facing dashboards
  • Strong understanding of data visualization best practices and KPI design

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare experience in Revenue Cycle Management, HIM, CDI, Coding, or Finance
  • Familiarity with healthcare concepts such as DRGs, CPT/HCPCS, ICD-10, denials, AR, and reimbursement workflows
  • Experience supporting value-based care or CMS payment models (ACO, episodic, ambulatory)
  • Exposure to automation or AI-enabled analytics platforms
