The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated & detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join our team in a specialised sector of the construction industry. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career within the niche field of high tolerance concrete industrial flooring, working with a reputable and growing company.

The Role

The successful candidate will work closely with the Estimations Manager , as well as Contracts & Operations Managers , supporting the preparation & delivery of accurate, competitive, and technically sound proposals. This position offers a broad scope of responsibility, involvement in real projects, and the chance to contribute meaningfully to a highly skilled and collaborative team.

Position Information

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of detailed cost estimates and technical proposals.
• Conduct site visits and surveys where necessary (travel within US may be required once trained).
• Attend client meetings and liaise with sub-contractors and material suppliers.
• Prepare pre-contract documentation (Work Orders) for project handover.
• Follow up on submitted proposals and provide support during the negotiation process.
• Support the programming of awarded projects and help allocate resources for successful project delivery.
• Assist in cost tracking and post-completion cost analysis.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and a logical approach to problem solving.
• Numerate, analytical, and commercially aware.
• Ideally 1–3 years of experience in estimating, costing, or commercial roles in the construction or flooring industry.
• Familiarity with construction terminology & contract structures.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with peers.
